Newbie Breeding Question

Postby Echo » Mon Nov 17, 2014 7:56 am

If I have black cherries and yellow cherries and put them in the same tank what will happen?

Will they cross breed and I get yellow AND black shrimp?

Or do they cross breed and produce weaker colours or something?

Judging that they are both cherries and are under the Neocaridina family. Then I suggest that you separate the shrimps into separate tanks, because they will breed and produce wild or ugly looking babies. But there is a chance that the shrimps will end up half black and half yellow cherries, but I have never experienced that personally.
Hope it helps.

They wull crossbreed and you will get cheries with weaker coloured genes and majority of them will have wild looking colours that are indeed very plain.
